Philadelphia & Garlic Hummus

19 Nov

Sorry it has been so long since the last post..I’ve been super busy these past weeks due to an interview in Philadelphia and lots and lots of tests.

Rocky steps

Pat's King of Steaks...with cheez wiz

After eating weeks worth of junk I was craving homemade hummus:

With super amounts of yummy garlic.

chickpeas (about a cup)
1 heaping Tbsp tahini (sesame paste)
juice of 1 lemon
5 cloves of garlic, peeled and chopped
salt and pepper to taste
3 Tbsp water
extra virgin olive oil (can substitute canola)
1 tsp cumin

In a food processor, add the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, water, cumin and some salt and pepper.

Add a drizzle of olive oil, and then process until mixed thoroughly.

While mixing, keep adding in the olive oil until the hummus becomes the right consistency.

Add more salt/pepper until the hummus becomes the right consistency and tastes perfect!
